Join us for the MSCC Capitol Hill Vote Delivery and Visioning Bonanza!

Now that you’ve voted for Define Our Decade here, would you like to hang out with some awesome climate activists, help us deliver the results to our senators on Capitol Hill, and brainstorm about future campaigns?

On Thursday, April 15 we’ll be attending the Artists for the Climate event. You’ll get to hear from Bill McKibben, the founder of 350.org, as well as a bunch of other cool people. Follow the link to learn more.

But wait! If you stay overnight, you’ll get to join the MSCC as we meeting with representatives from Senator Cardin and Senator Mikulski’s offices to present the results of the Maryland Define Our Decade vote. (Still haven’t voted? Vote here.)

Afterward, we’ll grab lunch (provided). We’ll spend the afternoon in a Fall 2010 brainstorming session. (Don’t have much environmental experience? Don’t worry. We want to hear from everybody).

Any of that sound interesting? RSVP! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE fill out the form so that we know if/when you’re coming and can help with logistics and travel. (Worried about finding a place to stay? Don’t want to buy lunch on Friday? That’s what the form is for!) Again, please RSVP: http://bit.ly/bwcD1O.

For more information, check out the facebook event here (but make sure you also register on the google spreadsheet link above).

Let’s Define Our Decade

What would you rather see? Maryland powered 100% by true clean sources like wind and solar? The phasing out of coal over the next 20 years? Or increased investing in green jobs training to create thousands of green jobs across the state? The MSCC wants to know.

We’re participating in Define Our Decade, the new, four part Energy Action Coalition campaign. Part one is a question, and Maryland has its own! Vote here (http://act.energyactioncoalition.org/signUp.jsp?key=4948).

After the votes, the MSCC is going to meet with Senator Cardin and Senator Mikulski’s offices. On April 16th, we’ll gather on Capitol Hill to deliver the results. Interested in hanging out with the MSCC? We’ll have the form and RSVP up soon.

See you there! Don’t forget to vote.
